Printing packaging industry and its market in Vietnam (II)

paper. Vietnam's paper industry is far from meeting domestic demand, and nearly half of the paper depends on imports. It should be noted that Vietnam's per capita paper consumption is only a few kilograms (compared with hundreds of kilograms in developed countries). At present, the supply gap of the paper industry is so large, and the growth rate of paper demand in Vietnam is expected to be more than 10% in the next few years. Therefore, the problem of paper shortage will be a serious problem in the future. China's advanced printing paper should actively enter the Vietnamese market

ink. At present, there is only one ink factory in Vietnam (located in Pingyang). In addition, there is a small ink factory in Ho Chi Minh City, which is of low quality and cannot meet domestic demand. This also provides opportunities for Chinese ink enterprises

printing machinery manufacturing. This is the weak link of Vietnam's printing industry, which can only produce some accessories. All printing machines, almost all electronic plate making equipment and various main equipment for post press processing should be imported

enterprise type. At present, Vietnam has more than 500 well-known printing enterprises, which are divided into five types:

① 156 state-owned enterprises

② 58 printing enterprises affiliated to state-owned enterprises

③ 98 internal printing plants

④ the collective relaxation testing machine is mainly used to test the tensile stress relaxation mechanical properties of metal materials (such as steel strand, PC steel bar and steel wire) at room temperature. There are 175 privately owned printing enterprises

⑤ there are 20 foreign-invested enterprises with printing business

among the above five types of enterprises, internal printing plants are not allowed to engage in commercial printing business according to government regulations, but in fact, they almost all participate in business activities in various forms. Some printing enterprises have fulfilled their obligation to pay taxes to the state, but many printing enterprises do not pay taxes, resulting in unfair competition among printing enterprises. In addition to almost all printing machinery and equipment imported, printing raw materials (including high-grade printing paper) also rely on imports

since the Vietnamese government decided to change state-owned enterprises into joint-stock enterprises, six printing enterprises have implemented shareholding. Now, there are different opinions on the mechanism and understanding of the shareholding of state-owned printing enterprises

enterprise layout. Printing enterprises in Vietnam are generally distributed according to administrative units such as the state, Ministry, province, industry and organization. In the process of its development, two major printing centers have gradually formed, namely Hanoi (131 printing enterprises) and Ho Chi Minh City (141 printing enterprises), which account for more than 60% of the national printing output. In addition to these two cities, there are also some key printing cities, namely Haiphong, Yi'an, Danang and qinyi. In these key cities, in addition to printing enterprises in the cultural and information industries, there are also printing enterprises in local or central ministries and commissions and industries. However, although some provinces are not the focus of the printing industry, they also have large printing enterprises and modern printing equipment, such as Pingding province and duole province. This is due to their fixed-point printing of people's daily and people's Army Daily. There are also strong packaging and printing enterprises in the industrial zones of Pingyang province and tongnai province. There is another province in the country that has no printing enterprises, that is beijijian province

staff and training of printing enterprises. There are nearly 20000 employees in the whole industry, including more than one third of female employees, about 3000 managers and about 15000 front-line workers. In terms of the educational level of employees, there are more than 2000 employees with college education and about 3000 employees with high school (or equivalent) education? In terms of skilled workers, there are more than 800 level-7 workers, more than 1000 level-6 workers and level-5 workers, more than 2000 level-4 workers, and more than 4000 level-2 workers and level-3 workers

the proportion of technicians and senior technicians with university education is still very low. Due to the shift from embossing technology to offset printing technology, the former senior technician is not equal to a master of modern technology

professionals in printing technology are trained by the Department of inorganic chemistry of encyclopedia University in Hanoi and the printing department of Technical Normal University in Ho Chi Minh City. Encyclopedia university trains 100-150 people every year and technical normal university trains 50-100 people every year. As for skilled workers, they are trained by Hanoi printing technology secondary vocational school and the training school of Chenfu printing company in Ho Chi Minh City. About 100 workers are trained every year

the teaching equipment of the above training institutions is still relatively simple, students have no chance to contact the latest printing technology, and the internship time is small, which needs to be improved. We can sell teaching equipment to Vietnamese printing training institutions

national policies and regulations for direct viewing of the printing industry. State owned printing enterprises can print any kind of printed matter, while private printing enterprises can only engage in packaging printing, manual printing (or silk printing), and shall not engage in the printing of newspapers, publications, securities and national professional management certificates

the state gives financial allocations and preferential loans to banknote printing enterprises, party newspaper printing enterprises, printing enterprises serving national defense and social security, and printing enterprises in particularly difficult provinces to help them update equipment, build or transform factories

since 2000, the state has abolished the requirement that enterprises engaged in packaging and printing, manual printing, computer Phototypesetting, copying, printing materials management, binding and cutting, and some printing services must apply for business licenses

the State implements incentive policies for foreign-invested enterprises engaged in high-quality packaging, trademark printing and production. Therefore, Chinese enterprises can enjoy preferential treatment if they invest in such projects

packaging industry. Violent vibration and collision are strictly prohibited. Vietnamese packaging enterprises can produce Kraft web paper, cardboard barrels with three to five layers, various nylon packaging materials: PE, PP, HDPE, agricultural PE film, plastic hoop rope, various composite plastic packaging materials, various specifications of fruit and vegetable cans, fruit juice cans, aquatic products cans, milk powder cans, coffee and other food cans, etc

the main packaging enterprises are Xinjin plastic packaging company located in Ho Chi Minh City (the leading enterprise of plastic packaging in Vietnam, which has obtained ISO9002 certification and has a branch in Hanoi); Western packaging Co., Ltd., located in qinyi city; Meizhu packaging and Printing Co., Ltd., located in Ho Chi Minh City (the first Vietnamese metal packaging enterprise to obtain ISO9001 certification)

Vietnamese packaging enterprises have been able to serve various domestic packaging businesses, such as grain, food, beauty cosmetics, agricultural chemical raw materials, seafood, textiles, drugs, beverages, washing powder, bath liquid, etc. Not only Vietnamese domestic enterprises, many foreign enterprises in Vietnam also use their packaging materials

market. As we know from the above, the equipment and raw materials of Vietnam's printing industry are basically dependent on imports. At present, imports from the West and Japan are flooding the Vietnamese market. However, Chinese products have the characteristics of short distance (resulting in low freight and fast delivery), low price, applicable technology (especially for non key printing enterprises in Vietnam), easy training and repair. As long as the advantages of Chinese enterprises are brought into play, it is entirely possible to occupy a certain share of the printing market in Vietnam

investment market. At present, the equipment of key enterprises in Vietnam that undertake the printing of Party newspapers and foreign propaganda materials is quite advanced. However, the printing technology of ordinary civilian printing materials (especially those in various places) is not very good. Due to limited funds and other reasons, Vietnam does not intend to improve the quality of printed materials across the country to the same level as party newspapers and foreign propaganda materials at once. The next step is to improve the printing quality of textbooks and novels. Therefore, the investment direction of Chinese enterprises should be non key printing enterprises in Vietnam, small and medium-sized printing enterprises in various places, and enterprises undertaking textbook and novel printing (by the way, even if they do not invest, the sale of equipment and raw materials should also focus on these enterprises, because they are the objects of the next renovation of Vietnam's printing industry)

packaging market. Vietnam's packaging technology is not as fast as printing technology, so Chinese enterprises have more market opportunities in this regard. We should see that Vietnam's economy is developing at a high speed, and the products that need to be packaged are also increasing at a high speed; Vietnam's exports are also growing at a high speed, and the export commodities that need high-quality packaging are also increasing rapidly. Chinese enterprises should seize these opportunities. At present, Vietnam's better packaging enterprises are all in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Therefore, the development focus of Chinese packaging enterprises should be Vietnam's medium-sized high-precision exchange servo electromechanical cities (they are often also the center of regional economy), such as packaging enterprises in Danang, hue, Haiphong, nhatrang, Yi'an, Qin Yi, Dalat and other cities.
